Gua Sha Crystal

What it is

History 

This modern-day face technique is based on a traditional Chinese healing practice known as Gua Sha. Gua means to stroke, and Sha refers to redness. According to early practitioners, the redness that is obtained by the crystal strokes encourages the skin to heal itself.

How to Use

To begin, cleanse your face and apply a facial oil or moisturizer to provide slip for the tool



Hold the gua sha tool at a 15 to 45-degree angle against your skin, and move the tool across your face and neck in upward and outward motions.

Use light to medium pressure, depending on your comfort level.
